Snapshot Poetry

Songtexte

D-MAJOR-DAY

summer's here, universally
supercharged with solar-energy
i walk around feeling more mature
independency, liberte, toujours

d-major-day, it's more than just a space of time
d-major-day, you've had yours now i'll have mine

stroll arounds, walking storybooks
notorious, in the neighborhood
a hideaway, a cosy place
a microworld, the plot remains
it's everywhere but anyhow
for me it happens here and now

d-major-day, it's more than just a space of time
d-major-day, you've had yours now i'll have mine

pictures like, snapshot poetry
repeated smiles, making memories
all the things clear up today
just for me, it's custom made

up the street is where i'm at
seeing life as not abstract
just a stonethrow away, just a stonethrow away
and right now momentarily the world makes perfect sense to me
just a stonethrow away

d-major-day, it's more than just a space of time
d-major-day, you've had yours now i'll have mine

SUPERNATURAL

it seems to be the hardest part
trying to find the perfect start
there's a map but no place to go

the expectations unreachable
your beauty's inconceivable
weakness, strong points, illuminate

donīt you know, that you are the one to inspire me

supernatural, keep it beautiful
only soul galore cracks the core

fullfilling the needs seems to strange
emotional ranges and how to arrange
the flow irrational but pure

be sure to give it the essential drive
don't change the standards to compromise
don't waste aspiration for luck to take it's charme

donīt you know, that you are the one to inspire me

supernatural, keep it beautiful
only soul galore cracks the core

IT COULD BE NICE

you stagger, on your long aimless way
you have gone the wrong direction again
do you know, what you're trying to find
do you know, what you're leaving behind

it could be so nice, if we had realized
what to change to make things right

you counted all your steps
got side-tracked and started all over again
splendid morning sun
you're still where you've begun

it could be so nice, if we had realized
what to change to make things right

LUCIO

ever since it all began
it was clear to me but surpressed in my mind
holding on too long to things
from the inside hollow, outside it goes on
i seem to be more insecure and incompetent
with every day
'cause you're perfect splendor stretches out
undeniable in every thinkable way

but it's hard to put aside, i think i'm still in self-denial
everyday is like a trial, so long, so long
but as we go blindly, somethings stay the same
but as we go blindly, all stories have an end, and so does this one

i hope i still mean the same to you
as you do to me now and every time
i hope that you still understand
all the things i say and all the things i do
i've finally come to terms with that
we're two constellations sharing the same star
and without this natural link
we wouldn't shine as bright as we are

but it's hard to put aside, i think i'm still in self-denial
everyday is like a trial, so long, so long
but as we go blindly, somethings stay the same
but as we go blindly, all stories have an end, and so does this one

COLLAPSE AND RELAX

we're sure about the context
we know about the details
no need for introspection
no need to try and fail
singleness of purpose
our self-inflicted trademark
developement is righteous
reasonable and smart

we seem to belong 'cause we fit in
our success is based on not questioning
the reasons they are obvious
we keep to the guidance that's impart to us
singleness of purpose
connected with a smile
self-confidence we incorporate
is 21st century's style

you gotta collapse and relax
you gotta collapse and relax
you gotta collapse and relax
you gotta collapse and relax

JUST A MILE AWAY

it's a huge and winding maze
my ambition is not to get out
but to get to the core

it's too bad my lifestyle lacs
the appeal of a lifestyle mag
i'd be someone to adore

just a mile away
from where we started from
we had it all and wasted it again
every urge towards common sense
forgotten as i wait in suspense
of what if yet to come

it's too bad my lifestyle lacs
the appeal of a lifestyle mag
i could be a pretty one

just a mile away
from where we started from
we had it all and wasted it again

REVOLVING DOORS

you're an effort without success, keep on
you're a play that's in recess, keep on
you can't follow what they discuss, keep on
you're reluctant to cause yourself stress, keep on

hold on to,
the things that you think that are real

you're days are like revolving doors, and you always end up on the outside
in unison and rebell like manner
you go steady without looking back
you're driven into dependency on things you can't control
don't change the course just keep on, keep on

regards to whom it won't concern
smiles for those who won't return
patches where there's nothing torn
but if it feels right it is they who are wrong

there's something stale in your life
but you're not quite sure what it is
a recollected fear, a paralyzing thought
of just what it means and what it could
and they would talk behind your back
it never turns out to be true,
never changes my mind about you
just keep on, keep on, to make sense or just confuse
you confuse

IF INSPIRATION IS ON VACATION

almost everything that's been said and done
means anything to anyone
like for me three chords can make a song

reenter, common grounds
recapture, familiar sounds
restructure, a phrase profound

if inspiration slips right through my fingertips
i put a record on, of my favorite song each time

it's always been the same and will be
the same ways that you still thrill me
it's always been the same and will be
the same ways that you still thrill me, cause

it is what you say, in your own way
that works for me

and for everything that's rearranged
there's something else instead derranged
as long as the basic's remain unchanged

retaining, consequence
rebuilding, elloquence
increasing the radiance

if inspiration slips right through my fingertips
i put a record on, of my favorite song each time

it's always been the same and will be
the same ways that you still thrill me
it's always been the same and will be
the same ways that you still thrill me, cause

it is what you say, in your own way
that works for me

A MASSIVE OVERDOSE OF COMMUNICATION

i've just had a massive overdose of communication
my head feels like a basketball inflated with too much air
this whole day was too much input for me to take
it feels like i've been dreaming but i've been wide awake

but i'm still waiting for something to happen
i'm still waiting for something to appear

i just got back from the club downtown
i had a few drinks with my friends and we just sat around
we sit and talk and smoke and drink,
and stare at people walking by with drinks in their hands
we strike up conversations although the music's too damn loud to understand

that i'm still waiting for something to happen
i'm still waiting for something to appear

and if i need sometime to be alone don't get mad at me
i would be a lonely person if i couldn't spend time with myself
i know i'll be out tomorrow waiting for some new inspiration
i'll be looking for that massive overdose of communication

MY LOVE NOT YOURS

you always want things to understand
without stress without demand
association over intensity
and easyness before obscurity
there's more to me than you'll ever know
there's more to me than i'll ever show, ever show

my love, not yours
what makes you think you can compare
being sad to being sad
happiness to happiness
why do you think my love is just like yours

do you add more weight to the words i say
it doesn't matter that much anyway
there's more to me than you'll ever know
there's more to me than i'll ever show, ever show

my love, not yours
what makes you think you can compare
being sad to being sad
happiness to happiness
why do you think my love is just like yours
